Bristol Journal Believes In AMRA

AMRA strengthened its coverage of the South West by becoming regional sales representative for The Bristol Journal, which has a reach of approximately 250,000.

The Bristol Journal was acquired by the Bailey Group earlier this year and has three colour editions; Bristol North, East and South. Bailey is one of the largest publishers in the South West and has seven paid-for titles and six free newspapers. The titles include Barry & District News, Bristol Journal, Cheltenham Independent, Gloucester and Avon Gazette and Penarth Times.

AMRA also handles sales for Trinity and Westminster press and the appointment brings total new business won in the past year to approximately £10 million.

Trish Pugh has joined AMRA Manchester as group head following the successful bid for the Chester Chronicle and North Wales Independent Press group titles *(Amra Win Creates Dominance In North West). Trish Pugh was previously the national sales manager for the Chester Chronicle and will be responsible for AMRA’s North West package of around 22 titles. The bid for the two titles brings in an additional £1 million of business.
