Britain Is Getting Connected

British households are becoming more and more technologically wired up according to a new Omnibus Survey from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). Mobile phones, answering machines, faxes and the Internet are becoming the norm with over half the households in Britain having at least one of these devices. 29% of households have a home computer and a further one in six of these can access the Internet. 27% of households with a television (99%) now have a satellite or cable receiver.
