A new DTI branch has been set up with the aim of boosting UK broadcasting at home and abroad. It will study the industry’s competitiveness. The branch will be headed by Neil Warman, who will also be responsible for pulling together issues such as de-regulation of ownership rules and the promised review of cross-media regulations.
