Broadcasting Standards Council Appoints New Director

The Broadcasting Standards Council has announced the appointment of Stephen Wittle as its new Director, succeeding Colin Shaw, the BSC’s first Director. Stephen Whittle is currently Chief Adviser, Editorial Policy at the BBC. The BSC has pointed out that members of the Broadcasting Complaints Commission were fully involved in the selection process in view of the proposed merger of the two organisations.
