Brookside Could Move Across The Channels

It is rumoured that Channel 5 is hoping to poach Brookside from Channel 4. Channel 5 is reported to have offered Phil Redmond, the executive producer of the long-running soap, £25 million to defect. Channel 5 also wants to add an extra two episodes to the thrice weekly soap.

Mal Young, the former producer of Brookside, has joined Channel 5 to oversee the channel’s new soap, Family Affairs.
