BSkyB and Warner Bros have signed a deal which will see the UK satellite broadcaster screen a raft of pay-per-view and near video-on-demand films on its Sky Box Office channel.
It is planned that the movies from the Warner Bros studios will be shown several months in advance of screenings on the two existing Sky Movie channels, which are to be rebranded as Sky Movies Screen 1 and Sky Movies Screen 2 (subscribers see Sky Channels To Be Rebranded).
David Chance, deputy managing director of Sky TV, said that the deal “will complement the comprehensive PPV service planned for Sky subscribers, to include a wide range of movies, sport and special events.”
