Ahead of today’s shareholder’s annual meeting BSkyB has announced three month figures to the end of September which show profit rising 31% to £66 million. Turnover also showed good growth, rising 24% to £266m.
Subscribers to the company’s satellite service increased slightly, up 2.6% to 5.65 million. The strong figures gave BSkyB a much-needed boost on the stock-market, with shares rising 5.5 to 584p.
