BSkyB has today released the number of shares lined up in favour of its takeover offer for Manchester United Football Club (see Newsline). Yesterday (Monday 26 October) at 3pm was the first closing date of the Offer.
BskyB has either received valid acceptances in respect of, acquired, or agreed to acquire a total of 115,848,905 Manchester United shares, representing about 44.6% of Manchester United’s existing issued share capital.
