British Telecom is teaming up with Microsoft in a major wireless internet project set to rival the plans of palm-top computer group Psion. The two companies are to create a system in which subscribers can access email, online information services and other Net-based facilities from their mobile phone, laptop or hand-held computer.
BT says it is to start trials in the new technology in the Spring.
