BT Cuts Net Costs
British Telecom is cutting the prices of its dial-up Internet access service. The price-cuts have now come into effect. The new prices include more than 20% off BT’s flat, monthly subscription fee, 50% off high-speed ISDN Internet access and an end to the £20 one-off registration charge.
The new subscription fee for unlimited use enables customers to access the Internet for £11.95 a month and the cost of a local telephone call. For customers who pay annually, the subscription fee is reduced from £150 to £129.25. This discount is equivalent to one free month’s use per year.
BT’s director of Internet and multimedia services, Rupert Gavin said: “Our aim is to make quality Internet access as common place as the phone in the lounge.”
