BT Launches Schools Online Service
BT has launched a new service which offers British schools subsidised access to the internet. Schools can purchase unlimited access to online services for £445 a year for a standard telephone line, and £790 a year for a higher speed ISDN line; both will be set up to operate during normal school hours.
The BT Schools Internet Caller has been set up in response to the Government’s plans to ensure that all Britain’s primary schools are wired to a ‘National Grid for Learning’ by 2002.
Schools wishing to find out more about the Schools Internet Caller should call 0800 672 655.
