C4 Schedules More Themed Nights For Spring/Summer

Channel 4 has launched its new Spring and Summer schedule with a line-up of themed nights and dedicated seasons.

All things Scouse are to be covered in the channel’s ‘A Night On The Mersey’ which will feature a curtain-raiser to the latest Brookside five-nighter in which a gas explosion threatens more lives. This starts on Easter Monday.

To accompany the ‘legendary’ episode of Ellen in which she comes out, Channel 4 has assembled a ‘Coming Out Night’ including contributions from Laura Dern, Oprah Winfrey and Demi Moore.

There is also to be a season of programmes to mark the 50th anniversary of the creation of Israel, including Holy Land, a collection of films shot by Israeli and Palestinian film-makers documenting individual stories in the divided land.

Channel 4’s Spring and Summer season began on Saturday 4 April.
