The next stage of the ITC selection process for Channel 5 has started; the ITC has asked all the C5 consortia to provide clarifications for their bids on issues ranging from ownership structure, video re-tuning and programming details.
National press reports have implied that UKTV, the highest bidding consortia, was undergoing more vigorous scrutiny than other bidders. However, this morning both the ITC and UKTV have stressed that this is the next stage in the selection process, and was known about before bidding for the C5 licence began
