Cabal Front Up With A New Title
Cabal Communications, the new publishing company set up by ex-IPC editor Sally O’Sullivan and Andy Sutcliffe (see Newsline), has announced it is to launch a new title in autumn this year aimed at young male readers.
Called front, the magazine will be aimed at all areas of the young male lifestyle, including music, sex, TV and sport.
The launch issue is to be edited by ex-Loaded contributor Piers Henru, who said: “front is more than just a lifestyle magazine, it’s an attitude that every young shaver needs if he is to wring every last glorious drop from the blinding flannel of fun that is life.”
Other contributors include ex-picture editor of Maxim, Roz Stevens, Christian Smyth, former editor of Sky Sports and former Mountain Bike Rider editor Brant Richards.
Managing director Andy Sutcliffe commented: “front will offer men a witty, irreverent alternative to other titles on the newsstand and one that’s more tailored to their lifestyle.”
The launch of the title will be accompanied by a national promotion campaign, and it will be available from 15 October. The first issue will have a cover price of £1, which will go up to £2 from December. The first print run is 400,000 and the title will be published monthly.
