Cable Franchises Awarded In Lincolnshire And Southport
The Independent Television Commission has announced the award of two of its cable franchise licences. The licence for Southport is to go to TeleWest Southport, a subsidiary of TeleWest, the UK’s biggest cable company.
The licence for Lincolnshire and South Humberside has been awarded to Diamond Cable; Diamond Cable operates a group of franchises from Grimsby to Nottingham and Leicester.
Diamond Cable and TeleWest were each the sole bidders for the franchises.
