According to the ITC’s cable statistics for the final quarter of 1993, broadband cable operators increased their television subscribers by a net figure of 91,000. This is by far the largest quarterly increase recorded; the previous highest was 60,000 in the same quarter of 1992.
Penetration rose by 1.5% points, the largest quarterly increase for three years, though the figure is still down over the year as a whole.
