The Cable Communications Association is to co-ordinate an effort by the medium to launch a national business television service over the next twelve months, along the lines of that which London-based licence holder, Videotron, is about to introduce in the capital.
Videotron’s service will operate over the telephone line into a standard PC, offering CNN, BBC, ITV, C4 and incorporating broadcasts of Reuters business television and European business news. Users will need to pay about £320 per terminal per month to access this plus eleven news wires and live shares data.
