Telecommunications group, Cable & Wireless Communications, has unveiled a £600 million expansion programme in Europe – creating as many as 1,000 jobs.
The scheme is aimed at bringing the latest network technology to 40 European cities in 13 different countries. The network will combine voice and Internet connections and will link with the US Internet business CWC acquired from MCI earlier this year (see CWC Shares Boosted By Talk Of Telewest Link-Up).
