Cable & Wireless has today announced annual financial results which show a 16% year on year increase in turnover to £7 billion while profits before tax and exceptionals rose 13% to £1.6bn.
Richard Brown, Cable & Wireless group chief executive, commented: “In the last twelve months we have reshaped Cable & Wireless. We have invested in businesses that will drive future profitability and deliver stronger organic growth. We have begun to dispose of businesses we cannot strategically influence, or which do not support our vision – to lead the world in integrated communications.”
