Capital Radio has received the green light from the Radio Authority to extend its Capital Gold 1548 AM service across all its other AM stations in Hampshire, Sussex, Kent and Birmingham.
The new network, to be called Capital Gold, will roll out to Kent next month and will then be followed by the others in early June. While most of the output will then be the same, local news, information and sports coverage will retain its regional identity. Capital Gold will be re-branded with the current 1548 logo.
Full details of the programme schedule will be announced shortly.
