Carat has appointed former MEC group strategy director, John Paul Cadman, as head of strategic planning to lead the agency’s planning output.
In his new role, Cadman will be responsible for ensuring consistent delivery of media planning across all clients, reporting to chief strategy officer, Dan Hagen, and working closely with the heads of innovation, digital and insight to continue to help build the agency’s overall proposition.
Cadman brings with him experience from MEC, OMD and CIA, and during his 15-year career has worked with brands including PepsiCo, Visa, Sony, Chanel, Canon, Colgate, Public Health England and Supersavers.
“As we continue to redefine the business value that media delivers for our clients, it is vital that we have clear and strategic leadership across the planning teams enabling us to take full advantage of all the opportunities offered by a convergent media landscape,” said Hagen.
“JP’s in-depth understanding of clients’ needs combined with his strong agency-side background will help us drive excellence at scale across the agency. His UK and European experience will be extremely valuable in helping us deliver business value through media to our clients in an increasingly globalised world.”
Cadman added: “I am really excited to join an agency that I’ve always admired and respected for both the work they deliver and their new business record. Carat has a strong leadership team shaping the future of the agency and I am pleased to be onboard to help them deliver their vision.”
