The Rugby Football Union has announced that Carlsberg-Tetley is to sponsor the sport with involvement at all levels from the national team right down to the local clubs.
Amongst their sponsorship package are the National Knockout Cup, now called the Tetley’s Bitter Cup, and the Tetley’s Bitter County Championship. The company will more than double the prize fund for the Tetley’s Bitter Cup, previously the Pilkington Cup, taking it to over £750,000.
