Cash Dispenser Advertising

Banks are soon to offer the possibility of advertising on their cash dispenser screens, according to a report in today’s FT. Two high street banks are planning to test the scheme later this year for a three month trial.
Ads on the screens will be accompanied by money-off coupons to be dispensed with the cash. Advertisers will pay an average of £110 a week for the exclusive use of one cash machine, with a maximum of 2,000 vouchers to be issued over a week. It will be possible to target particular cash machines, for example a dispenser near a large music shop might issue vouchers for discs or tapes.
