Latest data from CAA/EDI shows cinema admissions for January 1999 fell substantially year on year, dropping by 29.7% compared to January 1998. Compared to December 1998, when cinema admission stood at 8.9 million, admissions for January 1999 rose by 15.2% to 10.2 million.Average weekly admission during January 1999 were 2.31 million.
