The Nationwide has said that press rumours indicating that it has made an offer of £6 million to sponsor the Football League were ‘pure speculation.’The League is currently sponsored by Endsleigh Insurance. Endsleigh replaced Barclays Bank as sponsor in 1993 and the contract is now up for renegotiation.
