CLT SA, the European media group, has joined MAI and Pearson in their bid for Channel 5. This follows the announcement two weeks ago that Time Warner were pulling out of the Pearson/MAI consortium, due to “technical circumstances.” CLT operates television and radio stations in eight countries.

Maurice Saatchi’s New Saatchi Agency has announced it has won its first two accounts, Mirror Group newspapers and Silk Cut cigarettes. Both were previously clients of Saatchi & Saatchi. Zenith will continue its media buying contract with Mirror Group. Saatchi & Saatchi said that the two accounts represented less than 3% of its London billings.
