Reports in the Sunday papers suggest that C4’s youth programme The Word is to be axed. The current series, which ends in March, is likely to be the last. The five year old series is seen as tired and in need of replacing.

The Mail on Sunday yesterday reported that the Express bugged the offices of its ad director, Michael Moore, as part of an investigation into financial improprieties. Moore, who resigned on July 8th last year, was completely vindicated by the investigation, say the Express.
Pearson has agreed to buy a 10% stake in Television Broadcasts (TVB), the leading Hong Kong broadcaster for £107m. The deal is conditional on approval from shareholders and the Hong Kong Broadcasting Authority.
