NBC Super Channel’s hopes of joining the Astra satellite in place of the troubled German station Vox look less likely. Burda, the German magazine publishing group is negotiating to acquire a 25.1% stake in Vox. Vox went into liquidation earlier this year.

Emap has continued in its latest round of acquisitions, by buying two motoring magazines, Land Rover Owner International and International Off- Roader and 4×4, from LRO Publications for £2.25m. Emap National, the group’s motoring division, said the deal was part of its plans to expand in the sector.
American Express is to close Expression, its customer magazine. The bi-monthly title is published by Redwood Publishing.
