CBS Merger With QVC

CBS, the US television network, is close to merging with QVC, the home shopping channel. If the deal is agreed, the smaller QVC will be merged into CBS. Barry Diller, head of QVC, would become chief executive of the new group An agreement is expected in mid-July.
