Following this morning’s announcement by Peter Brooke of the relaxation of ITV ownership rules, Central TV’s share price has risen 92p to 2183p.
This follows expectations that Carlton and Granada would launch a bid for Central. Other bid battles are expected to be launched immediately.
The nine ‘large’ companies which until now no ITV company could hold two of are:

Carlton/LWT
