Challenge TV , the new name for Flextech’s Family Channel Takes The Challenge , will shortly be announcing details on its programming. The programming will aim to broaden viewers’ perceptions of the gameshow genre from traditional studio to leisure based shows. Challenge TV will be a mixture of original programmes produced by the company and also the best in classic British gameshows.
There will be a number of live phone-in gameshows which will allow the viewer to interact with the show. There will also be a ‘roving’ reporter who will award holidays, cars or cash prizes to Challenge TV viewers.
Challenge TV launches on February 3rd 1997 and will broadcast from 5pm til midnight every day.
