Champions League Attracts 5.2 Million To ITV1

Lampard Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League attracted an average of 5.2 million adults to ITV1 last night, taking a 25% audience share from 7.30pm to 10pm.

Eastenders, on between 7.30pm and 8pm, managed to gain just over eight million adult viewers on average for BBC One, a 41% share, whilst Holby City followed, taking 6.2 million, a 29.5% share.

New series The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, on after Holby, was watched by 3.1 million adults, taking a 14.6% viewing share during the football.

On at the same time on Channel 4, Supernanny was seen by 2.4 million adults on average, managing to gain an 11.5% audience share, whilst 2.7 million adults saw Five’s CSI:Miami (a 13% share) followed by 2.2 million for CSI:NY (13.7%).

Earlier in the evening, ITV1’s The New Paul O’Grady Show felt the benefits of the end of Sharon Osborne’s talk show series, getting 2.6 million adult viewers on average, a 22% audience share at 5pm.
