Channel 4 And The Observer Go On A Power Trip
Channel 4 and The Observer are to join forces to present a project called The Power List, which will appear both on television and in printed format.
The project sets out first to define power and then to rank the 300 most powerful people in Britain. The Power List will kick off on Channel 4 this Saturday, the 24th. Hosted by Roy Hattersley, the programme will involve discussion amongst a mixed panel of people including Will Hutton, editor-in-chief at The Observer and former permanent secretary, Sir Peter Middleton.
The Observer starts the Power List on 25 October, this Sunday, with an extensive analysis of what power is, followed by a list on 1 November of the 300 most powerful people in Britain.
