Channel 4 has appointed Kevin Henry as commercial projects manager within its client and strategic sales team, as it looks to increase it cross-platform offering to advertisers.
The new role will see Henry assume responsibility for developing an integrated sales approach across Channel 4’s commercial departments and its 4 Ventures division. He will report directly to head of client and strategic sales, Mike Parker.
Channel 4’s portfolio of business includes E4 and FilmFour with advertising opportunities across airtime, sponsorship, websites, telephony and integrated marketing. Henry will develop integrated solutions for advertisers working on initiatives across all of the broadcaster’s platforms.
Commenting on the appointment, Andy Barnes, sales director of Channel 4, said: “Advertisers are increasingly interested in integrated solutions. At Channel 4 we have a portfolio of businesses that offer a range of opportunities to interact with young and upmarket audiences. We are looking to exploit these platforms with new and creative solutions for advertisers.”
Henry has been working at Channel 4 since January 2003 in a business development role. Prior to joining the broadcaster he held a number of different positions at Anglia Television, TSMS and CNN.
Channel 4 has also announced that Peter Good is stepping down from his post as head of interactive television. Good joined Channel 4 three years ago with a remit to develop the broadcaster’s strategy for adding interactive and enhanced services across its various platforms. He oversaw the creation of the interactive application behind Big Brother and helped to develop generic applications that can be tailored to work alongside any programme.
