Channel 4’s Plans For Winter
Channel 4 news is to get a facelift, and the channel is to feature a six-part gay drama. These were just some of the developments unveiled yesterday when Channel 4 revealed its winter schedule.
The news will be getting a new look and be broadcast from a new, fully integrated newsroom as well as reforming its editorial agenda. It will continue to be presented by Jon Snow, and aim to have more ‘on the road’ reporting.
Some new dramas were also announced. Queer As Folk is a new 8-part drama which follows the lives of three men living in Manchester’s gay village. Psychos is a drama set in a Glasgow psychiatric ward, and Sex In The City has been imported from the US, and follows the dating game played by New Yorkers.
Channel 4 is also to premiere the films Dead Man Walking, Devil In a Blue Dress and Mighty Aphrodite, amongst others.
