Channel 5 has announced a deal with RTL Germany and pan-european news channel EuroNews to provide the first European news advertising package.
The European TV Newslink is a single purchase of advertising spots in and around the early morning news on major national channels in 13 countries, and the spots will also be shown in the 30 million cable and digital satellite homes reached by EuroNews.
Olivier de Montchenu, sales director at IP-Network, the company handling sales for EuroNews, commented: “The advertising offer will be able to reach a record 114 million homes and ensure 655,000 contacts per insertion transmitted in these 13 national windows in a news programme environment.”
