Channel 5 has announced the promotion of its head of regional independent productions, Adam Perry, to the position of controller, special events.
Perry was responsible for the surprisingly welcome return of Miss World on Channel 5 last week, after its 10 year absence. Live overnights from Initial showed that 3.2 million viewers tuned into watch Miss Israel win the 1998 crown.
