Channel 5 and Warner Bros International Television have entered into one of the largest UK terrestrial TV deals ever.
The two-year deal, which was announced today, covers all Warner Bros’ feature films released in the States in 1997 and 1998, plus 190 titles from Warner Bros’ film library. This includes Batman, Driving Miss Daisy, Lethal Weapon 2, Memphis Belle, Presumed Innocent, Dangerous Liasons, Dead Calm and The Rebel Without A Cause.
Jeff Schlesinger, president of Warner Bros TV said: “This is an extraordinary deal. It is the largest single terrestrial transaction that Warner Bros has ever concluded in the UK.
