Channel 5 has added Aston Villa to its play list of English club action in Europe.
Villa will be competing in the UEFA Cup; its matches will be broadcast on 5 on Tuesday evenings from 16 September.
Channel 5 will also be broadcasting Chelsea FC’s home games in the European Cup Winners Cup *Channel 5 Secures Chelsea Coverage, and it has bought the rights to screen Newcastle United in their European Cup Qualifying Round second-leg match.
The Chelsea matches begin on 18 September and the Newcastle game is scheduled for 27 August.
