Children’s ITV Autumn Schedule
ITV has announced its schedule for children’s programmes. It will be the first schedule of the new Network Controller of Children’s and Daytime Programmes, Dawn Airey.
The new schedule begins on Saturday 4 September and will include pre-school programmes moved from lunchtime to 3.30pm; this is to attract a larger audience of women with young children.
There will be new animation, such as Avenger Penguins and Treasure Island, featuring the voices of Dawn French and Hugh Laurie. The drama programmes Woof and Children’s Ward are to return, as are the informative programmes How 2 and Bad Influence! Weekend programmes Disney Club and What’s Up Doc? are also both returning.
Airey said “The new CITV schedule is a strong mix of exciting new titles and established favourites. It offers advertisers an excellent range of shows to be seen in, all delivering peak ratings for children.”
