Chiltern Radio Expansion Plans

The Chiltern Radio Network has announced plans for expansion, with plans to acquire other stations in 1995. Colin Mason, managing director of Chiltern Radio Network has announced that the Group has made a pre-tax profit of £514,000 in the year to September 30 1994, an increase of £760,000 compared to the 1993 loss of £246,000.
The Group, which comprises 11 stations including Galaxy Radio, Severn Sound and Chiltern Radio, has seen revenue increase by 20% over the period. Mason also predicted significant growth in revenue in 1995, with this optimism based on the successful launch of the regional station Galaxy Radio, and the launch of Oasis Radio in October.
