WPP today ended long-running speculation (subscribers see WPP May Aid Chime’s HHCL Takeover ) by confirming it will pump nearly £15 million into Chime Communications, conditional on Chime’s securing the £24m takeover of Howell Henry Chaldecott Lury.
WPP will take a 29.9% holding in Chime, the public relations group headed by Sir Tim Bell. The new group will be valued at more than £65m.
