Chrysalis Brings Hallmark Hiya To Galaxy Listeners

Chrysalis Radio Interactive has signed a five figure advertising deal with personalised picture and logo website Hallmark Hiya to promote the brand across the Galaxy Network.
The deal, which begins on 3 June, runs for three weeks and will target a 15-19 year-old female audience. On air advertising spots and trails will direct listeners to the Galaxy websites, where they will be encouraged to enter a competition to win up to £500.
In addition to the on air activity, SMS messages will be sent out to the Galaxy Text Maniacs’ 30,000 subscribers, encouraging them to visit the the Hallmark Hiya website.
Ian James, Chrysalis Radio Interactive’s sales director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Hallmark Hiya to Chrysalis Radio for the first time. The Galaxy Network and its Text Maniacs’ Club activity will deliver the brand directly to our core youth audience, undoubtedly driving site traffic considerably.”
According to RAJAR data for the three months ending March 2002, the Galaxy Network, which includes a range of Galaxy stations, saw its weekly reach increase by 5.8% year on year to 2,548,000, up from 2,408,000 in the same period last year.
