Following Chrysalis Radio’s ground-breaking restructuring of its commercial operations last month, it has announced further appointments to the new management team responsible for its merged sales division.
Chrysalis has appointed three account directors to manage the teams handling the top 20 agencies in London. They are Jennie Stubbs, currently group head of sponsorship and promotions, Dan Durling and Nikki Vidler, who are both currently group heads in the airtime sales teams. A fourth group will deal with all other London agency business. All will report to sales directors John Legg, Siobhan Smullen and Richard Brinkman. The three account director appointments are all internal.
Mark Burl will manage the business solutions team, which deals with all London business outside of the Top 20 agencies. Ali Page, currently head of client development, has been appointed as brand development director. Page’s team will have a remit to develop client relationships across all brands in the Chrysalis portfolio.
Don Thomson, commercial director of Chrysalis Radio commented: “All of these appointments are internal and are testament to the great strength in depth we have here at Chrysalis.
“Our goal is to be able to provide agencies and clients with a 360 degree radio service through a single management structure. These key appointments are the next stage in achieving this.”
In a radio first, Chrysalis Radio Sales announced last month its intention to unite its airtime sales division and sponsorship and promotions division to create mixed discipline units (see Chrysalis Radio Sales In Ground-Breaking Restructure). Chrysalis says that the structural changes are designed to forge deeper relationships with agencies and advertisers and connect them with Chrysalis Radio Sales’ range of brands including Heart, Galaxy, LBC and The Arrow; GMG stations Smooth FM, Real Radio and Original 106 FM.
