Chrysalis Radio Wins North East Licence
Chrysalis Radio’s Galaxy FM has won the Independent Local Radio Licence (ILR) for the North-East, beating off competition from Capital’s Fun Radio and North East News Radio. The Radio Authority, which advertised the licence earlier this year (see RA Receives 14 Applications North-East ILR Licence), decided this afternoon to grant the licence to Galaxy.
Galaxy FM will is described as a fun, upbeat, lifestyle-led dance station, playing a mix of contemporary dance music. The award means that Chrysalis will now have four Galaxy branded stations across the country.
Subscribers can access the Radio database by selecting “Radio” from the drop-down box at the top of this page.
