CIA Restructure UK Operations

CIA Medianetwork has announced some internal restructuring. It is grouping its UK operations under one unified brand – CIA Medianetwork UK – headed by Mainardo de Nardis.

This is part of the group’s on-going process of building CIA into a better, larger and more successful brand in the UK. The agency’s TV airtime buying specialist brand will be merged under the networks CIA Medianetwork banner. Earlier in the year, CIA changed the name of its holding company and media planning and buying group to Tempus Group (see Newsline).

Mainardo de Nardis will head the new CIA Medianetwork UK management team as chairman, with Tony Kenyon as deputy. Mike Elms, former chief executive, will focus on developing international client relationships.

Mainardo de Nardis commented:”The consolidation of the agency’s brands behind the single, strong CIA Medianetwork UK banner will deliver greater internal cohesion and clarify our identity for external audiences.”

The restructuring also involved a number of redundancies, but these were not specified by CIA Medianetwork.
