CIA Sensor Survey – 79% Want More Choice In Satellite Subscription
Nearly four-fifths of people (79%) would prefer to subscribe to individual cable and satellite channels if they were given the chance according to the latest CIA Sensor survey. At present customers have to subscribe to package deals if they want to access cable or satellite channels and this reduces viewer’s options.
The survey also found that 49% of people who don’t currently subscribe to cable or satellite would be interested if they could pick and choose which channels they could receive.
Anthony Jones, Head of CIA MediaLab says: “CIA Sensor shows that unbundling channels so that customers pick only those that they want could help to drive new subscriptions. However, BSkyB will have a difficult decision to make if unbundling reduces the average income gained from each subscription.”
