Cinema Admissions Data Benefits Advertisers
Since the Cinema Exhibitors Association (CEA) agreed to recommend that its members send admissions data to the Cinema Advertising Association (CAA), the industry and advertisers have started to reap the benefits of accurate audience share data.
The first ever accurate quarterly cinema admissions figures have been published by the CAA. This report, covering the period July-September 1997, shows that Carlton Screen Advertising has the majority of admissions with a 69.4 per cent share; Pearl and Dean holds the remaining 30.6 per cent. The data is compiled from 2,356 cinema screens. The next quarterly report, due next January, will give a clearer indication of admission share following the launch of a number of new multiplex cinema sites.
The latest Cinema data can be accessed by selecting “Cinema” from the drop-down box at the top of this page.
