Cinema Admissions Down 17% For June
The latest cinema admissions figures, for June, have been released by RSA.
June’s admissions show a 17% decrease year on year to average 1.37 million per week. This brings the second quarter average to 1.71m per week, a 14.5% drop year on year.
The total monthly admissions for June was 5.8m – down on the same period in 1994 (7m). A slump in admissions is expected at this time of year but has experienced a further decline largely due to the hot weather and lack of blockbusters. The top grossing films for June were:
