Cinema Admissions Up During January
UK cinema admissions reached 10.6 million in January, representing an increase of 3.6% compared to last year’s figures. Average weekly admissions came in at 2.39 million, according to the latest figures released by Carlton Screen Advertising.
Boosting sales during this month were Sleepy Hollow, which took £8.7 million at the box office, Angela’s Ashes, and James Bond installment The World is Not Enough, which kept its place in the top five films for the third month running.
